Konux is an award-winning IIoT start-up offering smart sensor solutions for comprehensive sensor data tracking and AI-based analytics.
The more impact a digital product will eventually make - the more challenging it gets for a design team. This is particularly true for Konux, who has a first-hand knowledge of how complicated dealing with data analytics and predicting failures can be. Konux asked us to deliver an app with a clean interface that is intuitively simple to use for anyone from C-level executives to engineers when analyzing the data on railway infrastructure. Our goal was to create a “state-of-the-art” design that would reflect the nature of Konux and bring freshness to the industry that may seem super conservative, while addressing the most important goals for planning maintenance and predicting failures on railways.

How do you bring the whole client`s digital appearance to a completely new level that gives the leading edge over competitors while addressing the most important business goals? That was our pivotal question when approaching design and development work on Andromeda, a state-of-the-art instrument for measuring, analyzing and providing insights into a complex array of railway infrastructure assets. We don’t like flying blind here at Zajno. That’s why we made it to Munich and spent a week at Konux HQ with marketing and engineering teams. Face-to-face communication and multiple iterations helped us get an insight into their philosophy and core values, which is a combo of high quality, cutting-edge technology and user-friendliness. It allowed us to combine our knowledge and experience, which we turned into a thought-out working digital product.
We believe that a well-orchestrated graphics evokes a variety of positive emotions toward the product and makes using it pleasant. Repeating this mantra, we created more than 30 custom icons and came up with a new way to illustrate a comprehensive 4-layer approach towards working with real-time insights. We topped it all off with the conceptual logo and interface animations to communicate the industrial spirit and highlight the competitive advantages of KONUX.
We helped KONUX take their digital presence to a whole new level by custom designs and accurate implementation. We designed and launched their new website, targeting a vide variety of user groups - from C-level executives that need quick and actionable insights, to middle management, who would require more in-depth and technical information. We also designed and did the front-end development of their complex data analytics web application, which is already becoming a digital breakthrough in the industrial world and is being heavily tested on Deutsche Bahn. We are really excited to gather the analytics and offer improvements based on those.
